Belles & Whiselles supports Ava's Tea Party

How can you say no, when you receive an email from a very supportive retailer Details Details asking you to participate in a beauty-ful project to  help celebrate & honour the life of Ava Rosemeyer - a 3 year old girl that went back to heaven way too young...  We were delighted to be invited as one of Australia’s leading children’s stationery designers to contribute a limited edition `Tea Party’ invitation in our own unique individual style to remember little Ava on her birthday each year in August.   

So where did we start.... Having read and followed the story that Ava’s Mum, Sheyne had written on her blog, we were inspired by Ava’s dreams & wishes to play tea parties, so we tapped into our own childhoods and reminisced about what we loved to eat & drink at our tea parties and came up with our Smartie Party invite.  Every cupcake in our design is unique just like every special little girl. Available for a limited time only - July to September 2010, our limited edition printable invites are available from Details Details and 100% of the sales goes to Paradise Kids – helping support families suffering illness and loss.

Supporting charities is what we love doing, being able to give something back to our supporters and the community who are less fortunate that us.  Another one of our passions. 

Pink Ribbon Breakfast

This year we are supporting a very worthy cause – Pink Ribbon Big Breakfast – raising awareness of Breast Cancer.  One in nine Australian women are expected to be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime, which means most of us know someone affected by it.  We were thrilled that Ashlee chose to get in contact with the Belles after finding us online to help support her Pink Ribbon Breakfast to be held in June 2010. Ashlee’s mother lost her battle with breast cancer last year and with her breakfast she is hoping to not only raise the $15,000 goal she has set for this year but to also raise the necessary awareness of this disease.  

Belles & Whiselles has donated a selection of Girly focused paper products from our range to help Ashelee achieve her goal.  We wish her all the best and can’t wait to hear the results of her breakfast.

 

Montessori Children’s House Ltd

This not for profit community run kindergarten located in Auchenflower Brisbane,  kindly asked us to donate some of our very popular Kids Colouring In books so that they could raise money at their annual trivia night.  We wish them well for raising the much needed money to install air-conditioning in their centre.  Their Trivia night will be held on Friday 14th May 2010.

 

Crows Nest Family Fun Day - Saturday, 24 October 2009

This saturday weekend Belles & Whiselles will be at the SDN Crows Nest Family Fun Day.

SDN Crows Nest is a not-for-profit 65 placement long day care centre for children 0?5 years.  SDN delivers high quality child care services, as well as programs for children and families who need targeted support. SDN is staffed by well skilled and innovative professionals who are passionate about working with children and their families.

So... if you are out and about with your kiddies on saturday morning, why not pop along and spend a lovely morning supporting this great facility.  PLUS, if you do come along you will be the first to view our 2009 Christmas range which not only includes our beautiful CARDS & GIFT TAGS, but a range of STOCKING FILLERS that are sure to be a hit!
