Official Launch – 21st July 2009

It’s official... Belles & Whiselles launched its stationery collection at Gallery 307 on Tuesday 21st July!

Having spent the best part of 6 months designing & preparing for the launch of our stationery range, it all seemed worth it when we saw so many familiar faces laughing, smiling & sharing our passion as they saw our designs that were hung up artwork style on the walls of the gallery, showcasing the range. As part of the launch, we told our story of why we chose certain icons or where we were inspired by colour by using filler cards that were hung amongst the card & invite designs. These filler cards got just as much publicity as the actual cards, so “Yum, banana paddlepop” and “Secret Squirrel” have made it onto our inspiration for some new card designs, as we had so many requests for these ones...

A big thank you to our helpers and our friends and family who were able to join us for the celebrations on the night, we were thrilled with the turn out and of course your wonderful feedback. We look forward to sharing more Belles & Whiselles celebrations with you!

A bit about the Belles

Our aim is to constantly deliver a unique, premium & desirable product range to you, that is not only visually appealing but Australian designed & handmade too.

Our designs have a sophisticated & fun colour palette, delivering something a little bit different to the market.  We use only high quality materials and where possible we use Eco friendly processes to produce our handmade products, as we care for the environment too.  Our vision is to grow our paper offerings with more fun & innovative products & designs to our consumers who find the same passion in our brand as we do!

Our icons are an integral part of what makes us ‘Belles & Whiselles’.

Our icons have been individually selected by us both, tapping into personal moments & memories in our lives that bring a smile or tear  to our faces. They reflect us & our different personalities from girly fun to wacky adventurous...

We hope our icons also provide a meaning to you as well, allowing stories to be created from your own memories & experiences...

 

Our Inspiration

Our inspiration for our ranges comes from everyday personal moments. Each range reflects new inspiration, whether it be the colours we remember from our kitchens in the 80's, the Jacarandas in full bloom around Sydney or eating cupcakes with girlfriends over high tea, it comes together to create wonderful colour palettes and design elements.

Look on the back of our cards for the names... you might just be able to work out where we were inspired for the specific design  you have selected!

Who are the Belles

Belles & Whiselles originated from a personal connection of two Sydney based girls (Belles – Cilla & Danielle), fusing together to not only bring a wealth of design knowledge and expertise to the market, but a unique experience filled with passion, fun & innovation (Whiselles). Both girls having worked in the Advertising/Design world for over 10 years and having met 5 years ago whilst doing that thing they love, packaging design, always wanted to explore & share their passion for other things design in their own style.  

This fusion has now become the iconic Belles & Whiselles...
